Jonathan J. Baskin, M.D., FACS
Dr. Jonathan Baskin received his Bachelor of Science
degree with honors (Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa) from Tufts
University in Boston, Massachusetts, and his M.D. from Johns Hopkins
School of Medicine, in Baltimore, Maryland. His post-graduate
training was completed at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix,
Arizona, and his residency training was completed at The Barrow
Neurological Institute under the guidance of Dr. Robert Spetzler
in Phoenix, Arizona. In addition, he completed a Clinical Spine
Surgery Fellowship with Dr. Volker Sonntag at The Barrow Neurological
Institute. Dr. Baskin achieved Board Certification in 2002, from
the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
Dr. Baskins areas of clinical interest include: Neurovascular
Surgery (aneurysms, AVM, Intra- / Extra-cranial [Carotid]) and
Neurovascular Diseases; Complex Spine Surgery; Tumors of the Spine;
Image-Guided Neurosurgery for Brain Tumors and Spinal Stabilization.
He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons,
the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the North American Spine
Society. Dr. Baskins professional publications and presentations
made prior to joining ANS include Spinal Reconstructive Surgery,
Neuroendoscopy, Hydrocephalus and Vascular Neurosurgery.
